Morning - Left Hartshill at 7:30 and left Stoke per 8:10am train to Cresswell. Walked to Tean on Brewery Business and home. Saw Mr Cotton at school and collected cash for school tickets. Met Mr Bull (Bell? Ball?), Butcher, at Tean and paid him 5/- for Room.

Evening - My first sale of property at the Wheat Sheaf Hotel - for Hacker and Allen, Leek. Young Allen there and their head Clerk. Realised 126 pounds. Only about half a dozen people in the room. However, I managed to sell and I was glad I did, not only because this was my first sale of property but because my terms were, if sold 2 (unrecognisable word), if not not sold I go.
