THURSDAY 8th NOVEMBER 1888

To Tean and Gorsty Hill for brewery. After to Draycott to see Coventry to sign memorial regarding bailiffs certificate but finding him out left paper for him to sign with a note asking to send same to me by next post.

Met Mrs Swetnam in Lide Lane and she came and had tea with me.

Treadle which I left with Singers manager in London, October 29th, came back to me today. It has been to Scotland I think. No letter accompanies it and they have my 2 sheets of drawings. It is a strange affair to me and Bert. Treadle has evidently been sent to me from London. Do they mean to take it up or not?
