THURSDAY 22nd NOVEMBER 1888

With Frank Tipper and his horse and trap and brother William to Alton, Denstone and Bradley, making a valuation of the growing timber on the Twinditch? Farm and other property to be sold by auction at Alton on December 4th next. Timber on each lot to be sold with same at valuation.

Very windy day but no rain. Mr Gent, Cedar Hill went over the estate with us.

Mrs Birch at the farm Tithe Barn is very ill - flux - she thinks to have a sale and will employ me. We had tea there. She knew father well. She will decide regarding sale after property is sold. Mottram has written.

Evening - Town on business. Took Bagnalls draft license and memo of agreement to J. Barnes to copy.
