In 1885, John's daughter Ethel was baptised on 18th January at Holy Trinity Church, Avonside, Christchurch, New Zealand. John and Alberta were living at East Belt. Ursula Alberta Alcock was born on 10th August. She was baptised on 4th October. John and Alberta were living at Hazeldean, Christchurch. Sponsors were the parents and Mary Ann Davis.
